Mastering the Pivot, when to slow down or change gear.

Hey Dolls! Welcome back to our topic of the week! Where we discuss all things fashion, and house insight from the founder. We're excited to keep providing more thoughtful conversation to our viewers!

This week's topic is aiming to keep things real..:

Mastering the Pivot, when to slow down or change gear.

Hey, Ada here!

First things first, you guys did NOT like me moving Trendsetters Spotlight to the website.. Ok, I heard you! It's still on the website for you to respond, but I will continue it here. Besides.. I like talking to you guys on a personal level on emails, so my bad!

Anywho...

I took a break from doing anything business related for a whole week... I feel like I haven't given myself that grace in so long, and it was not good for me at ALL.

During this break I cried, I slept (a lot), but most importantly, I started thinking. I thought about all of the choices I made leading up to now. Some were great, some not so much. Trying to figure out this brand thing is so hard. When I first started I simply saw ADANNA as an extension of my heart. All of the extra technicalities blindsided me, and it caused me to overthink every. single. thing.

That's when I finally said, " Who's fault is that?". No really.. why should I take every suggestion like it will help me? That's when I realized I needed to pump the brakes and really think about how I want to do this.

Deep down I know my pace, I know the standard I want ADANNA to operate at, and I know how I truly want to contribute to the fashion industry. I never cared about being everything for everybody, but to be a place for the special few who get it.

Who get ADANNA.

So respectfully speaking, if you don't get it... you simply don't.

It's so refreshing and empowering to take a step back and see things clearer. Will I continue to make more mistakes? Yes. Will I stop myself from trying new ways to express ADANNA? No. Will integrity remain the priority to not only the Dolls, but myself? ABSOLUTELY.

Because at the end of the day, I want to look at ADANNA and say, "I have created a special and unique place that I truly feel represents my heart".

All of this to say, it's ok to stop and re-align. You don't have to keep moving on the hamster wheel for the sake of "keeping up", because it costs you the quality you desire.

Quality over Quantity, any day.

Until next time!
